This project explores footwear as a modular and adaptable system rather than a fixed object. A flexible upper is combined with a structured sole, allowing the shoe to adjust to different foot shapes, widths, and sizes through construction rather than standard sizing alone. The upper is made with translucent organza that has a rigid hand feel, creating soft and draped forms through architectural structure. French seams and fabric loop buttons bring garment construction techniques into footwear design. The modular sole uses straps to connect and secure the upper, while lace-up closures, snap buttons, folded leather, and elastic bands create different fitting possibilities. By combining architecture, deconstruction, and apparel-based closures, the project redefines footwear as an adjustable and reconstructable system.
